LASEMA confirmed the casualties, with three severely burned victims rushed to Gbagada General Hospital. “Efforts are ongoing to extinguish the flames,” said Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, LASEMA’s Permanent Secretary.
The fire spread to nearby buildings, including a church and mechanics’ workshops. Authorities have closed the area, urging motorists to seek alternative routes. Emergency teams continue recovery efforts as investigations into the cause begin.
